This was a wonderful read. Diary style intimate and inside view of the poet. Grateful it was recommended to me.
What an absolutely delightful book about Rilke, written by a good observer and someone that greatly appreciated him. I enjoyed the many observations about him, as well as the descriptions about his many hardships and moments of great achievements. A book I might read again.
An interesting personal memoir that provides some insight into Rainer Rilke's private life and thoughts. It reveals some of the emotional turmoil he experienced while working over many years to turn the inspiration he experienced into the beautiful poetry that he has shared with us.
